As Managing Principal of the Virginia Beach office, Christopher leads several project teams. His leadership and organizational skills allow him to manage numerous large contracts with multiple task orders for several different clients.
With 37 years of experience in surveying, including three years with the City of Virginia Beach, Christopher Capozzi offers a detailed understanding of the technologies and issues facing surveying projects. His experience spans boundary, topographic and hydrographic surveying, transportation, ALTA/NSPS, GPS technology, and the latest surveying, GIS and design software. With more than 34 years of experience, Stephen Collar serves as the Managing Principal for American Engineering’s Charlotte office. He is responsible for all operations, logistical support, and caring for the staff. Other duties include project/program oversight, business development and strategic planning.
Steve is a retired U.S. Army Engineering Officer and has overseen a variety of transportation projects for both state and municipal clients. He has successfully managed numerous projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers, the Foreign Military Sales group, and the Ashtabula County Port Authority.
