This landmark feature was designed and constructed in the mid-‘90s, and started as a drainage project. American Engineering’s staff solved the complex drainage issues, but the design included dredging the lake, improving the bulkhead and replacing the timber pedestrian bridge with concrete.
The complexity of the project did not keep us from bringing the construction in on budget. What was necessary as an infrastructure improvement, doubles as a wonderful asset to the South Norfolk community.
