American Engineering was awarded a Surveying and Drafting Annual Services contract. Services provided under this contract include topographical and property boundary field surveying; completing Resident Notification for Property Access task for all properties within the survey limits of this project, following the Code of Virginia requirements; drafting services including staff augmentation if needed; and research for existing easements on properties in order to prepare and seal property easements.
Example Projects:
935 Wingfield Avenue – Tasks include completion of property research and a boundary recovery survey for the affected parcels. Survey crews performed a topographic survey for the multiple parcels and roads affected by the project. Field information was drafted in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 and an existing surface was provided with the CAD file for use by the City.
Coopers Ditch Drainage Survey Project, Phase 2 – Tasks include performing a topographic survey for Coopers Ditch from its intersection at Gloria Drive, then running approximately 4,600 feet to its intersection with Forest Road. Survey field data will include ditch cross sections at 100-foot intervals, and 25 feet outside the top of bank on each side. Data gathering includes identification of existing clearance and sediment build up around the bridge abutments for three bridges. Subsurface utilities present will be field-located. Property lines, easements, and wetlands flags delineated by others will also be located for this effort. Public notification for access and record review have been initiated by American Engineering. Field work within Public Right of Ways has been completed.
