Lauren Dickson, PLA, ASLA has joined American Engineering as the Director of Landscape Architecture.

Lauren provides leadership and mentorship for her team of designers as well as seasoned project management and oversight. Additional responsibilities include plan quality control, community engagement, client management, and design.

She has over 17 years of experience in design, project management, and administration of projects from initial concept to construction. She recently joined American Engineering, bringing with her experience on various types of projects including park master plans, greenways, streetscapes, libraries, and public facilities. Her field of expertise and passion lies with public spaces, parks and recreation design. She works closely with municipalities to gain valuable perspective and insight to create meaningful designs that are rooted in the communities within which she works. She has valuable experience in coordination with review agencies, community engagement, and worked on projects throughout North Carolina.

Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect in North and South Carolina.
